Sharon King and the Reckless Angels are offering young local musicians a chance to shine during our 14 day Scottish Village Hall Tour. Please get in touch if you would like an opportunity to perform for up to 15 minutes at one of the halls during our tour.
Support slots so far confirmed:
Tyninghame Hall: Tammy Miller.
Traquair Hall: Holly Powers.
Pathhead Hall: Lauren Pearson and Tammy Miller.
Canons Gait: Cera Impala.
Applicants must be under 18 years old.
The offer is for 1 support slot per person / group, per night. (sorry we cant accommodate drum kits or bands with over 3 members, unless you are a choir or group who require no technical set up)
The applicant must be able to perform between 3 to 10 minutes of music, in up to, 2 or 3 pieces.
The stage time is 15 minutes which must be adhered too. The 15 minute time slot includes set up and set down, and must fit with the main acts PA requirements and stage set up (i.e in addition to the main act and without causing disruption to their set up)
The applicant must live locally to the village hall.
There is no budget to pay support acts, the incentive is for young musicians to gain experience and have a chance to perform.
The applicant will have free entry and one guest ticket.
There will be no soundcheck for applicants, however here will be a 5 minute line check immediately prior to performance.
Applicants, where possible, will be included in local press info and will be notified of their successful application asap.
Applicants must be willing to adhere to the above conditions and must have permission of a parent or guardian.
Please apply through the contact page on the website, stating your name, band name, postcode, contact number, age, instruments, if material is original or not, number of performers and expected duration of your performance.
Closing date 15th June. Successful applicants will be notified by 17th June.
